Wilczy Szaniec (Wolfsschanze) — Adolf Hitler's bunker complex in the forest near Kętrzyn, the Wehrmacht's main command headquarters during World War II. It was here on July 20, 1944, that an assassination attempt on Hitler took place (Operation Valkyrie).
