Ogrodzieniec Castle in Podzamcze lies ~50 km from Katowice, in the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura. It is the largest stronghold on the Eagles' Nests Trail, which you probably know from film sets and series.
Privately, it's easy to combine several points: the Ogrodzieniec ruins themselves, the nearby Podzamcze rocks, and on request the castles at Bobolice and Mirów too. The Jura means limestone outcrops, castles on rocks and views you won't see from a bus.
