Biskupin is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Central Europe, located ~90 km from Poznań. Discovered in the 1930s, it holds the remains of a fortified settlement from around 2,700 years ago.
On site, you'll explore a faithful reconstruction of the Lusatian culture stronghold: wooden huts, a palisade and a breakwater. The Archaeological Museum runs demonstrations of ancient crafts, and in summer a lively archaeological festival takes place.
