Karpacz is one of Poland’s best-known mountain resorts, set at the foot of Śnieżka (1,603 m) — the highest peak of the Karkonosze and of the whole Sudetes. The town offers mountain trails, cable cars and a special atmosphere year-round: hiking in summer, skiing in winter.
The gem of Karpacz is the Wang Church — a Scandinavian-style timber church moved in the 19th century from Vang in Norway. Its richly carved structure is the only monument of its kind in this part of Europe.
