Short answer: the railway station is right in front of the terminal. To Gdynia there is a direct train via Osowa (about 26–29 min, Tri-city ticket 12.50 zł). To Sopot and the Old Town you usually change at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, city ticket 8.50 zł; bus 210 also runs to the main station (about 40 min, 4.80 zł). Between 23:00 and 4:00 only night bus N3 runs (to Wrzeszcz and the main station). A door-to-door private transfer costs €30 to central Gdańsk, €35 to Sopot and €40 to Gdynia per car for 1–3 people.

Gdańsk Airport → Sopot

Cheapest by train for 8.50 zł (usually with a change at Wrzeszcz, 35–45 min). Easiest by transfer for €35 per car, about 30–45 min to your door.

Late-night arrivals

After about 23:00 there are no more trains from the airport to Sopot or the Old Town. Night bus N3 (23:00–4:00) runs to Wrzeszcz (about 20 min) and the main station (about 50 min). At night you can only reach Sopot and Gdynia by public transport with changes. With a transfer the driver tracks your flight and waits free of charge for 60 minutes after the actual landing, even after midnight; the prices in the tables apply at any pickup time.

Luggage, children and groups

On Pomeranian Tariff trains and ZTM buses hand luggage travels free. With big suitcases, remember the change at Wrzeszcz (a different platform). With a transfer one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person are included; add bigger luggage to your booking. A child seat costs €10 each.

The maths for four people: the train to Sopot is 4 × 8.50 zł = 34 zł, while the van to Sopot costs €50 for the whole vehicle (about 220 zł at the NBP rate). For one or two people with light luggage in the daytime, public transport is clearly cheaper.

What to choose

  • One person, light luggage, daytime: the train (to Gdynia direct via Osowa) or bus 210 to the main station.
  • Landing after 22:30: to Gdańsk, night bus N3; to Sopot and Gdynia, a transfer is the simplest.
  • Family with children, 4+ people, lots of suitcases: a private transfer or van, with no change at Wrzeszcz.
  • An address outside the centre (e.g. Orłowo, Brzeźno, Jelitkowo): a door-to-door transfer saves the walk from the station.

Prices are in euros. You can also pay in złoty at the NBP average rate of the day (on 27 October 2026: €1 = 4.4056 zł).
